Stolen phone returned
Stephanie Davies tried to be helpful Wednesday morning and had in return had her iPhone stolen. Fortunately it was quickly tracked and recovered.
A crime of opportunity Wednesday turned out to less fortunate than the suspect had originally thought.Ricky Tony George,19, was arrested at a motel in Tigard about two hours after the iPhone he stole from a Charbonneau business was tracked through a global satellite positioning program.George, a transient, was booked into Clackamas County Jail and charged with second-degree theft and giving false information to a police officer.

A broken gas pipeline caused some worry among Old Town residents this morning, but the problem was fixed almost immediately, according to a spokesperson from NW Natural.

A Wilsonville couple was injured Tuesday morning in an alcohol-related crash on Interstate 205 in the West Linn area. The other driver involved in the crash, a southeast Portland man, was subsequently arrested on multiple charges.

A Sunday night Sherwood house fire that drew firefighting crews from Wilsonville and other stations throughout the area is under investigation. Investigators from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and the Sherwood Police Department are asking the public to provide any available information about the cause of the fire, which claimed an empty home at 21961 S.
