Finding his voice
Wilsonville alumnus Chase Lio (right), shown with his grandfather Dennis Lio at a Jan. 28 luncheon in Burbank, Calif., won a $5,000 scholarship from the Southern California Sports Broadcasters association. Lio is a sophomore at Loyola Marymount University, where he is a play-by-play announcer for the women's basketball team.
Chase Lio isn’t sure if he’s the next Vin Scully, but his budding broadcasting career practically put him next to Vin Scully.
