As the earthmovers and dump trucks continue construction on the new Fred Meyer store, local businesses are taking inventory on how to compete with the newest player in Wilsonville retail.Business owners, new and old, small and large, had the same message last week: Customer service and unique products will help them compete against the large retailer and the 20 other stores soon to be built at the corner of Wilsonville and Boones Ferry roads.
